Installation and Configuration

Based on over 400 implementations, our consultants have developed an extensive knowledge of job costing system implementation within the agency and consultancy environment. This knowledge is used to ensure that you receive maximum ROI (return on investment) whilst minimising disruption and risk. This has led to the development of two implementation methodologies:

Prescriptive Installation and Configuration

For any business system to deliver the maximum benefit, it must be an integral part of the companies processes and procedures. If Synergist is being implemented in a business that has previously only had manual job management systems, then it is unlikely that replicating these within Synergist will give the maximum benefit. In this situation we will offer a prescriptive installation where our system consultants will configure Synergist in a proven, industry best practice configuration.

Training can be delivered directly to the end users by our consultants and trainers who have a combination of agency, teaching and systems experience. Ensuring you gain the maximum benefit in the shortest possible time and have an excellent platform for future growth.

Consultative Installation and Configuration

Larger more established businesses are often driven to review their job management systems due to dissatisfaction with an existing solution. There are often effective procedures already in place and retaining these can deliver a smoother and faster implementation. In this situation the extensive configuration options within Synergist are a significant advantage. These have been developed over the last 15 years as a result of implementing Synergist as a replacement for failing job management systems.

The Synergist consultant will spend time with a team of departmental representatives (super users) who know every aspect of the day to day running of the business. They will explore the current ways of working with this team and either map Synergist onto them, or suggest alternatives if they feel there would be significant benefit. This allows you to transition your working practices across to Synergist, addressing the weaknesses of your existing systems, whilst minimising disruption. This approach will deliver a rapid ROI whilst simultaneously avoiding the risk of introducing new procedures.

The majority of end user training is usually delivered by the super users as they will have a detailed understanding of how Synergist is to be used from the configuration process. In addition, they will undergo a train the trainer course to ensure they are comfortable and effective at training the end users. Certain departments such as finance will be given additional training directly by the system consultant to cover any areas specific to themselves.
